Oscar Franken in the finals of the Amsterdam Science and Innovation Awards 2018

PhD student Oscar Franken is going to pitch the innovative CLIMECS (CLimatic Manipulation of Ecosystem Samples) mesocosm system at the finals of the Amsterdam Science and Innovation Awards 2018!

The system, which has been developed by our departement in close collaboration with the Electronic Engineering and the Fine Mechanics and Instrumentation Groups of the Vrije Universiteit, allows its users to simulate different climatic scenario’s and test the effect of these conditions on intact ecosystem samples.
