Jeroen Noordhoek’s PhD thesis research highlighted in ‘De Volkskrant’

Nano particles have become extremely useful in medicine, electronics and cosmetics, and are therefore released in bulk quantities into the environment. Yet, the impact of such particles on ecosystems are poorly understood. During his PhD research Jeroen showed that nano particles are only harmful for soil animals after they have been exposed for multiple generations.
